Use the black remote and press ON — the main burner will ignite.
4. Turn off the fireplace
Press OFF on the remote. The pilot light will stay lit for next time.

Important Notes:
The fan will start automatically once the unit reaches operating temperature (approx. 5–10 minutes). It may also keep running after the fire is turned off to cool the unit — this is normal.
Fan speed and flame intensity can only be adjusted manually via the controls behind the lower flip-down panel (not the remote).
The remote display shows the current room temperature only, not the set temperature.
** The most effective and efficient method of heating the cottage is to use the ducted air-conditioner. Please don’t leave the fireplace running continuously during your stay **
⚠️ If you feel unsure about the operation of the fireplace at any time, please turn off the unit and utilize the air-conditioner for heating the cottage instead.
